I am very pleased to announce that Ken Holt recently joined Guiding Stars Licensing Co. as our new Project and Systems Manager. In this role, Ken will manage all systems development, enhancements, and interactions with other platforms at Ahold Delhaize and outside Guiding Stars clients. He will analyze our business problems to identify possible solutions, and then plan and manage the project stages to ensure that our various Guiding Stars systems support our evolving strategic needs.
Ken brings to Guiding Stars a great deal of relevant success as a business systems analyst, and formerly as a scan systems support specialist. Ken has over 30 years’ experience at Hannaford and Delhaize America in supply chain, merchandising and retail operations. He has long been recognized as the company’s lead expert on shelf tag systems. In fact, Ken was very involved in the Guiding Stars implementation over 10 years ago when we first launched and put the GS logos onto full color digital unit price tags across all Hannaford and Food Lion stores.
Ken is replacing our good friend, Paul Doucette, who retired last month after over 35 years at Hannaford and Guiding Stars. I still love the fact that Ken’s first job at corporate, over 20 years ago, involved sitting right next to Paul Doucette when they were both pricing coordinators in merchandising. Ken lives in Lisbon, ME with his wife Patricia and their two children, Roger & Erin. Ken enjoys spending time with his family & barbecuing on the grill. (His favorite Guiding Stars recipe is Pork Tenderloin with Cranberry Salsa).
Please join me in welcoming Ken to the Guiding Stars team and congratulating him on his new role within the Ahold Delhaize family.
