I am very pleased to announce that Elizabeth Caton recently joined Guiding Stars Licensing Co. as the Client Services Manager. In this role, Elizabeth will manage and enhance relationships with a variety of new and existing retail and food service clients that have a wide range of needs. She will also lead our branding, marketing, communications and outreach for Guiding Stars, leveraging some outstanding business partners.
Elizabeth brings to Guiding Stars, knowledge of nutrition and environmental sustainability. She is passionate about food: cooking, baking, consumption, and education on the balance between food choices and their role in human and environmental health. Elizabeth has experience in community, research, and clinical nutrition and most recently worked for Harvard University as the Sustainability Manager for their Law School. There she was able to work closely on food policy projects and as part of the working group for the University’s Sustainable and Healthful Food Standards, amongst other things.
She has been in Boston the past 8 years where she earned her master’s in Sustainability and Environmental Management as well as her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. Elizabeth and her husband Michael are thrilled to be back home in Portland where they both grew up, and look forward to lots more time with family and friends. She enjoys cooking and although it is tough to choose just one, her current favorite Guiding Stars recipe is the Spicy Stuffed Avocados.
