Sweepstakes: Songs for a Healthier America

We’re pleased to partner with Partnership for a Healthier America and Hip Hop Public Health to offer one lucky person the chance to win a copy of their new CD, Songs for a Healthier America. This one-of-a-kind CD has 19 songs that encourage healthy eating, drinking and exercise for kids and features songs from all genres including hiphop, pop and country. Each track has a fun, positive and encouraging message, and the album is a great way to keep kids dancing and moving inside as the weather gets colder.

Founded in 2010 in conjunction with – but independent from – Let’s Move!, Partnership for a Healthier America is a nonpartisan, nonprofit that is led by some of the nation’s most respected health and childhood obesity advocates. Hip Hop Public Health is a nonprofit committed to ending health illiteracy through entertainment-based interventions.

Songs for a Healthier America launched on September 30th at an event in New York City and features top artists, including Jordin Sparks, Ashanti, Matisyahu, Travis Barker, Ryan Beatty, Doug E Fresh, Dr Oz, and E-Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren. The album features tracks with names like “We Like Vegetables,” “Veggie Luv” and “Get Up Sit Up,” all designed to get kids thinking about health and fitness.
