Frisee Apple Cherry Salad

A great salad has a nice balance of crisp, crunchy, and chewy textures. This salad fits that description with a balance of sweet, tart, and bitter flavors that cleanse the palate nicely between bites of other dishes.

    • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
    • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    • 2 Tbsp. minced shallot
    • 1 Tbsp. honey
    • Pepper to taste

    • ½ cup dried tart cherries
    • 1 head frisée lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
    • 1 apple, thinly sliced
    • ½ cup chopped walnuts, toasted

  1. Whisk together dressing ingredients.
  2. Toss together salad ingredients and serve with dressing.
