Chinese Chicken Patties

Perfectly spiced with a touch of crunch from water chestnuts, these easy chicken patties are a unique protein to serve with your favorite veggie stir-fry.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ⅔ cup chopped green onion
  • 2 Tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. minced jalapeño
  • 1½ lbs. ground chicken
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Add water chestnuts, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, and jalapeño to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in chicken, cilantro, and ginger.
  3. Form mixture into 18 (2″) patties.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot. Working in batches, cook patties until golden and cooked through (3-5 minutes per side).
