ELIGIBILITY:
This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age and older, who are employed by grocery stores that are currently participating in the Guiding Stars program. Employees and contractors of Guiding Stars (Guiding Stars Licensing Company 145 Pleasant Hill Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074) (“Sponsor”), and each of its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, or any person domiciled with, any such employees or contractors are not eligible to enter or win.
GEOGRAPHIC AREA:
The Sweepstakes is open only to employees of grocery stores in the following communities [OR] is open only to employees of the following grocery stores: Stop & Shop, Food Lion, Hannaford, The GIANT Company (GIANT, MARTIN’S, GIANT Heirloom) , Giant Food.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on September 1st, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 31st, 2023.
RANDOM DRAWINGS:
Five (5) winners per participating brand will be selected at random on or about November 1st, 2023. Twenty-five (25) winners in total. The winners will be notified by email within one (1) week of selection. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an attempt to select an alternate winner.
TO PARTICIPATE:
To enter, you must complete the survey form displayed on the QR code located in each participating grocery store, following all applicable directions. Only one entry per employee is permitted. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on October 31st, 2023.
PRIZE:
Each of the twenty-five (25) winners will receive one (1) gift card in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100) to the participating grocery store where the winning employee works. Total approximate retail value of all prizes is Two Thousand and Five Hundred Dollars ($2500). THE ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.
DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION MAY APPLY:
By participating, and/or by accepting a prize, entrants agree: (a) to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects; and (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, and any related companies, agents, members, affiliates, and subsidiaries, from any and all claims or damages arising out of their participation in the Sweepstakes and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prizes. Liability for any applicable taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winners. Any required tax reporting forms will be furnished to the Internal Revenue Service. All expenses not specifically provided for by Sponsor in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the winners.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:
Entries that are lost, late, or incomplete for any reason will not be eligible. Sponsors reserve the right to modify or terminate this Sweepstakes or disqualify any entry for any reason. In the event of early termination, Sponsor will randomly select winners from all eligible entries received at time of termination. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of a person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. No substitutions or cash equivalents permitted except at Sponsor’s option for a prize of comparable or greater value due to prize unavailability. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes will be emailed to the eligible winners. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. No purchase necessary to enter or to win. A purchase will not increase your odds of winning. Subject to federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Sponsor, the participating grocery stores, and their respective successors, assigns, affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, members, advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and shareholders are not liable for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human error; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruptions, deletions, or defects of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, server providers, or software, including any injury or damage to any entrants’ or other computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes; inability to access a website; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; transactions that are processed later or incorrectly or are incomplete or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; printing or human or other errors; and any entries which are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, or any combination thereof.
PRIVACY:
Personally identifiable information that is submitted by entrants as part of this Sweepstakes will be used to administer the Sweepstakes, randomly select prize winners and fulfill prizes. Entrants’ information will be treated in accordance with Sponsor’s applicable privacy policy accessible on its website. Such information will not be used for any other purposes than as stated in these Official Rules or as separately agreed to by entrants.

To obtain a list of prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Sponsor at the Sponsor address provided above. You must specify that you are requesting a list of prize winners.
