Fruit is a delightful way to mix up your salsa game. Serve as a snack with tortilla chips or on fish tacos.

Tip: Serrano peppers are about nine times hotter than jalapeño, making this a very hot salsa. Use jalapeño or less serrano if you like milder heat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely diced cantaloupe
  • ¼ cup finely chopped Vidalia onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
  • 1 serrano pepper, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice
  • ⅛ tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a bowl. Chill until ready to serve.
