Berries and chocolate are a perfect flavor combination with many wonderful health benefits. A handful of dark, leafy green boosts their nutritional benefits further by including a vegetable almost invisible.

Tip: Whenever you’re making green smoothies, blend the liquid and greens well before adding other ingredients for the best texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 2 tsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 dash ground cinnamon
  • 1 dash ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. stevia

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Garnish with a few whole blueberries, if desired, and serve immediately.
