Looking for a more nutritious way to satisfy your sweet tooth? Frozen bananas can be pureed into a satisfying substitute for ice cream. Topped with fresh cherries, coconut, and nuts, it’s a downright treat.

Tip: Freeze bananas that are brown and very ripe for the sweetest dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas, frozen and sliced
  • ½ cup grated coconut
  • ½ cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • ¼ cup peanuts

Directions

  1. Place frozen bananas in a blender. Pureé until they reach the texture of soft-serve ice cream.
  2. Top with remaining ingredients and serve immediately.
