Ripe bananas and applesauce bring sweetness and moisture to these star-worthy cookies that are so delicious your kids will gobble them up!

Tip: If you don’t have apple pie spice mix on hand, use a mix of ½ tsp. cinnamon, ¼ tsp. nutmeg, and ⅛ tsp. allspice.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ⅓ cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. ground flax
  • ½ tsp. apple pie spice mix
  • ½ cup dried cherries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Using a fork, mash the bananas in a bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for until springy to the touch (18-20 minutes).
