Use your favorite fruits to make this dessert your own–frozen berries are especially good. If you’re willing to freeze your ramekins, you can also cover them tightly before baking and store in the freezer. Bring up to room temperature to bake.

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 2½ cups fresh or frozen fruit or berries
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. whole-wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp. orange juice

Topping:

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp. whole-wheat flour
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. canola oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Toss filling ingredients together. Divide among four (6 oz.) oven-safe ramekins.
  3. Stir together topping ingredients in a separate bowl. Sprinkle over the filling mixture.
  4. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet. Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden (20-25 minutes). Let stand for at least 10 minutes before serving.
